The Dominican Lacrosse Program is very excited to announce Mitchell Sanders (Lewis & Clark High School ’19, Washington) has Verbally Committed to continue his education and play lacrosse for Dominican University. Mitchell is a very talented and strong midfielder who will bring a lot to the Penguins as we build out our talented 2023 class. Mitchell has started all 4 years on varsity and has been a captain for the last two years. Mitchell also earned all-conference for face-off his sophomore year and was on track for all-conference his Junior year before an ACL tear. Mitchell is looking forward to a strong senior season after coming back from injury. Mitchell also has a 3.74 GPA and has earned honor roll every semester. Coach Sammy stated “We are very excited to have a talented, hard dodging, dynamic and strong midfielder in Mitchell Sanders to join the Penguins for the 2019-2020 season. He has been an integral part of growing the lacrosse program for Lewis and Clark. He has a lot of passion for the game, he is strong, has a great shot, is a great dodger and has a knack for finding the back of the net. He is also a very good face-off man, which just adds another dimension to his game. We feel he will fit right in to our offensive systems and to the culture of the team.”  Welcome to the Penguins, Mitchell! Please stay tuned for Mitchell National Signing Day!
