Joseph Schauer Lewis and Clark High School, Commits to Dominican University Class of 2023

The Dominican University Penguins Lacrosse Program is very excited to announce Joe Schauer (Lewis and Clark High School Class of 2019, Washington) has Verbally Committed to continue his education and lacrosse career at Dominican University. Joe is a strong, a great communicator, and clearing defenseman who will bring a lot to the Penguins class of 2023. Joe has played the last 4 years for his high school lacrosse team and the local club team, Lilac City lacrosse. Joe is currently one of the team captains, and has started all 4 years on defense. Joe has also been a referee for the Spokane Youth Lacrosse Association for the past 2 years. Joe is an involved youth leader in his youth group, maintains a high GPA and also loves to snowboard. He is excited to attend Dominican to play lacrosse, for the academic opportunities, and to be a part of a Christian university. Coach Sammy stated, “We are very excited to add a defenseman like Joe to the Penguins for the 2019-2020 season. Joe has played a big role in growing the game of lacrosse in the city of Spokane. He can clear the ball with ease, plays physical, is excellent off ball, and is great communicating to his fellow defenseman, he will fit right into our systems and team culture.” Welcome to the Penguins Joe!
